Bow Drill Sets

I know its easy to make a bow drill set. Heck I have made a few myself! I did however find a nice deal on a pre-made bow drill set complete with video on ebay and thought I would buy it and try it out! I started working with it and got a coal within two mins.
this set is nice, it includes a very nice bearing made of stone (worth the ($9.99 all by itself!) and a really decent DVD

Marbles Woodcraft

I bought myself a Marbles Woodcraft off of ebay. I have to say I am pretty stuck on it. I have used it for carving, kitchen work (cutting meat) and I opened some stuff with it... I really like it! Anyone else have this knife, any thoughts good or bad?

Ok many of you have seen the primitive knife making video from hoods woods but as my reading progresses, I have noticed that many of the iron and steel items used by native tribes are banged out using one hammer, a hunk of rock or steel for an anvil and something not much different than a camp fire. So here is my question:
How many of you have worked metal on a pit forge and what did you produce?
were you successful?
do you still use the item?

Was going through all the bush skills videos on You Tube and found some great stuff. Lots of people out there putting good instruction on there for people to use. We already know that video instruction is the best way to learn and these guys do a great job putting it togeather. Other ones I like are those that take you with them on their trips. Its like being there.
